“Get outta the street girl! Why don’t you get yer head outta yer ass and look where yer goin’!?” Erin yelped and jumped back as a wagon nearly ran her over. She was lost. In her own city. How embarrassing.
Running to the side of the road she crossed her arms, clinging to her own body for comfort. The dark haired girl had no idea where she was. Frankly, Erin didn’t make it to this side of Goldcrest very often. She only went all the way out here on rare occasions for a few of her wealthier clients, who were always far and few between.
Still, she’d never been to this part of the city at night, and everything changed when the sun went down. It became a completely different world – a world that both frightened and entranced her. Erin wanted to explore, but there was a knot at the pit of her stomach that kept telling her to turn and run for the home -- as soon as she found out which way home was...
Trevor had always found a certain level of comfort that came with the cover of night. Many districts of the city fell silent with the setting of the sun lending the streets a calm, almost peaceful air. He counted himself among the small handful of citizens that could just as easily navigate his way through the darkened streets as he did the sunlit halls of the Accord Embassies.
With nary a care, Trevor moved calmly along the well paved streets of the Palladium Square. He'd just came from an event at the Therinian Embassy and his hopes to negotiate a new import/export deal with the nation's representatives had gone better than planned. The promise of another lucrative source of coin had brightened his spirits considerably and it showed in the relaxed, laid back way in which he walked. The few pints of expensive ale he'd had over the course of the night didn't hurt either.
Trevor's head tilted curiously as he spotting an individual who was obviously out of place. It was always so easy to recognize the signs of someone who was lost or uncertain. While there was little to fear from vagabonds and bandits here, there were far too many who dreaded sundown.
"Oh!" Trevor had approached the figure and was pleasantly surprised to find he recognized her. A thin smile touched his lips as he made his presence known to the young woman. "Miss Vivant." He said, his eyes gleaming brightly in the dim, flickering light of an oil lamp illuminated the street. "You're out late, have you lost your way?"
