Trevor nodded. He honesty with Raine wasn't born from fear or concern about consequences rather than it was simply good business to make good on promises. There were few (if any) individuals or groups Trevor felt threatened by on either side of the law. He had enough council members and prominent politicians in his pocket to not fear the Guard or anything that would happen during the day and his reach within the thieves guild and mutually lucrative partnerships with both the Marauders and the Union offered him protection from what went on after dusk. And still, Trevor was well aware it had been the respect he approached like minded individuals that had earned him that station.
"Risks sometimes have to be taken." Trevor admitted. The candid moment had been brief and he had immediately snapped back into his usual calm, confident demeanor. Trevor was nothing if not careful, yet he understood the stakes here were far higher and required a certain amount of flexibility. "A cautious man never sees the success of his more cavalier counterpart. It's all a matter of choosing when to play it safe and when to go all in." Trevor pocketed the bottle and gave a bit of a nod. "And you don't get to where I am without taking somechances." After all, it wasn't as if Trevor didn't have a plan. He always had a plan. Even when he knew he'd have to make up most of it on the fly he remained in complete control.
Or, at least, that's what he led everyone to believe.
