What - being groomed for greatness?

Yes.

I have only ever lived the greatest lifestyle imaginable. I had tutors. I spent mandatory time in the enclave. I trained in swordsmanship from the time I was able to hold a sword. Were it not for the magic, I've might have made a dashing Chevalier.

I might have. But, truthfully, it would only ever have been out of fear. The entire institution is built on fear, is it not? Building a force to control the uncontrollable.

Absolutely. I mean, we give in to the rules because we should. But if we didn't... Consider the life you would be leading.
