PERSONALITY:
Hot. Hot to the touch. Hot like a burn. A burning sun on legs. Ethan is like a roaring inferno. Loud like a storm. Bright like the light. Hot like a fire. Ethan’s life is in constant movement. Flickering. Burning. Like his very presence is the essence of fire. It’s all he knows. All he needs.Blue. Blue like the sky. Blue like the ocean. The color he succumbed to. The color he seeks. It’s all he wants. All that takes up his life. Rare is it when Ethan seeks out another. Even rarer is it when that color can last. All others are fleeting and weak against the blue’s intensity. They must fight against it, or risk drowning in its depths.
Sweet. Sweet like candy. Sweet like freedom. Ethan is a male storm of taste. Yet sweet is the most prominent. Bitter. Sour. Spicy. Plain. No matter which flavor mixes, the sweet always wins. But it’s not exact. There is a slight tang to it. Something no one can explain.----------------------------------------------------------------------------- the history --
Love wasn’t a concept felt around Ethan’s house. it was a word. A verb. A noun. Something thrown around as if it had meaning. Yet there was nothing behind it. Only lies. For him it was even more so. The third of eight. Born to the prestigious Black family. Well known to Astilon. Appearances had to be kept. Masks had to be worn. There was much Ethan had to tip-toe around. "For the family," they claimed. A family Ethan only ever felt distant from.He played his role. He said his words. He survived his life. Being the third child had an advantage. He wasn’t as important. More forgotten. More free. He abused that power. Left whenever he pleased. Only came back to avoid their suspicions. He learned much. About others. About himself. Things his family would not be pleased with. Yet Ethan didn’t care.
Until he came of age. Then came the suitors. Then came the pestering. The unwanted attention. The politics. Ethan wanted nothing of it. Rejected any of his family’s plans. They grew angry. He grew frustrated. He burst. Told the truth. And paid the price. That day Ethan lost his family. A family he never cared for. A family that wasn’t his.Years came. Years went. In that time, he met a man. A captain. Whether through pity, sympathy, or something else, Ethan was taken in. Given training. Given purpose. Given a home. He found his calling on endless blue. His skill on razor sharp steel. From nobility he fell. Never could he have been happier. He kept the name. As a slight against people who never cared for him as a person. Only as a tool.
When fate struck and the captain died, Ethan mourned the loss. It hit him hard. Harder than he expected. This was the only family he acknowledged. The only place where “love” had a meaning. yet he couldn’t grow weak. Not in his line of work. Not with his family. So he fought on. it was all he knew what to do.----------------------------------------------------------------------------- the player --
