PERSONALITY: Cedric is inquisitive by nature. There is hardly a thing in life that he does not investigate to the fullest extent. While this helps him learn a great deal about all sorts of things, it also gets him in trouble. He often learns about things he shouldn't, or comes off as nosy.
He is also enthusiastic about anything he devotes his time to doing. He does not do anything half-assed, as he sees a job done without maximum effort as a waste of time. Thus he comes off as a bit of perfectionist, although he knows and values failure as a learning experience. He will try something again and again until he gets it.
He often comes off as eccentric, generally because he doesn't give a single care for what others think. He does what he wants whenever he wants without worrying what it looks like to others. Which often gets him into trouble or makes him enemies. Though that doesn't bother him either.----------------------------------------------------------------------------- the history --
You're from Therin, aren't you?I am! My family, the Braddocks, goes back many, many centuries in Therin's history. Or something like that. All I know is that we're very old and I added to the tree. Along with my seven brothers and sisters.
You have seven siblings?Well when you're a noble family and more children means more marriages and more influence, then it makes sense to have plenty to throw around at others. Or at least that was my parents' idea. Whatever the case, they had a lot of kids. Many of which went into the military as they had to.
And you?Of course! Although I did not make as good of a soldier as I did a medic. Especially when I found out I have magic and especially when the Coterie started making a mess of things. I got to stay with the army because I could heal, and they really needed me.
What are your thoughts on the Coterie? Is this a joke?
No I-I had to fight those fools for years! I got to see the damage their magic did because of their ambition and recklessness using it! Not only did they almost destroy everything, but they also made everyone fear mages! It's already scary enough that a certain amount of people can wield the very elements and control life and death itself! But seeing a whole horde of mages with that sort of power? Of course people would be terrified! It's scarred people and the land! Now the innocent mages have to go the Enclave or they'll be arrested or worse.
So does that mean you dislike the Enclave? What? No! The Enclave was a brilliant idea! Finally we had a place where mages could gather together and teach magic. Other than the Accord, the Enclave was the only success the war brought about. Sure, things are strict with the Chevaliers, but it's understandable. The fear is still very, very present. But if things continue and the Enclave mages prove cooperative, I believe things can get much better. Eventually the Enclave will be more of a school than a prison or place to keep an eye on all the mages, and the "rogue mages" everyone fears will come willingly.
A hopeful dream.No. Not a dream. A possibility. One I really hope we can reach, though it will take all of our efforts.----------------------------------------------------------------------------- the player --
