Okay. It was such a simple word, but it meant so much. Surprise etched into Carter's features so uncontrollably.
"Really? Just like that?" He asked theb. Genuinely. Doubt would only grow overnight, and the more time she took the more difficult it would be to follow such a decision; "You don't know my name, but you can trust a stranger that much?"
It was almost beautiful. That sense of naivety was mind blowing in the best possible way.

She shrugged lightly. She knew she was being naive and that one way or another, this little trip wouldn't happen. Whether it was because of her backing out her her finding these to be empty promises was yet to be seen.
"You probably shouldn't ever consider getting a job as a salesperson; you're not very good at it," she said, the corner of her lips pulling up slightly.
"And names, by themselves, mean very little, so I'm not sure it would make much of a difference." A name shouldn't hold the kind of power to sway a decision. Of course, most times, it actually did. Luxanna felt the sudden urge to prove that fact wrong.
