PERSONALITY:
A mind made of greed
Money. That’s all the matters to Raine. It’s what drives her in every action she does. What makes her rise in the morning and settle at night. It’s the only thing that holds weight with her. Friendship and love are only allies and tolerance. She has no place left in her heart for anything else.
A mouth full of lies
Raine hasn’t gotten as far in her business based on honesty. Every word out of her mouth should be taken with suspicion. Every promise scrutinized. Every deal taken carefully. She is a master manipulator when she wants something, and isn’t afraid to weave tales to cover her tracks. In her opinion, the best lies hold a bit of truth. But it’s hard to tell where the truth stops and the lie starts.
Who’d steal your soul
There is hardly a thing left in the world that’s sacred to her anymore. She is not kind. She is not merciful. She is as cold and hard as the coins she deals in. She would as soon help you as betray you if the price was good enough. Very few manage to make it into territory where she would hesitate. Even then, the ground is slippery.
Right before you eyes
Boldness can easily tip into stupidity. Raine has learned to walk this fine line as if she was born to. And she practically was. She knows what face to where. She knows what emotion to show. She can read others like a book and respond instantly to better things into her favor. It’s all become a game to her.

-- the history --
FATHER: Aaron Darwin
MOTHER: Morrigan Ransom
SIBLINGS: None
WORTHY MENTIONS: NoneNot everyone has the good fortune to be born into a wealthy family. Raine was one such case. Born to two thieves. Her life was lived in the shadows of Goldcrest. Her childhood was spent like coin. All of it invested into learning. She had to be quiet. She had to be smart if she wanted to get anywhere. And she was. Even at a young age, she knew how to survive the streets. She had to. She was alone. Deemed a burden by her parents. If she didn’t fend for herself, no one else would. So she did.
Years passed and Raine developed. She joined the Thieves’ Guild. Made a name for herself. She was fast and she was efficient. With her intellect, she pulled off every job without a hitch. But she knew the threat was always there. It gave her a bit of a thrill. However there was only one thing that gave her joy. Coin. It was the driving force behind everything she did for the guild. Yet even with her higher demand, Raine wasn’t satisfied. So she got an idea. Instead of scurrying around looking for things to steal, she began trading them. She became a fence for the guild.
Business started slowly, but soon picked up. She became a well established fence for the guild. She would acquire any materials or tools other thieves would need. She established a system. One that only grew over time. She became a market all her own. Buying stolen goods and trading them for other wanted items. During this time, she gave herself a name. Proctor. No one knows where it came from. Raine makes sure it stays that way. Meanwhile, she put up a front as a plain merchant as well to further her influx of coin. To the guards, she was an honest merchant with a variety of wares. Underneath, she was a smuggler, fence, and thief.
Over the years, Raine’s influence only continued to grow. She had connections in all the right places to get her practically anything she needed for a buyer. There are many mysteries around her work and Raine herself. Rumors and theories have sprung up like weeds. Raine doesn’t help. She feeds the flames, because if there’s one thing she’s learned, it’s that misdirection can be extremely helpful.
