I was twenty-two when I suffered a loss I could not put into words. Losing my parents when I was thirteen was nothing compared to the loss I felt when my beautiful son was taken from me in the most cruel way possible.
I grew up a God fearing woman. My parents instilled in me the importance of doing unto others what I would want done unto me. It wasn’t hard for me to cherish the simple things life had to offer and I never took things for granted. I had a good life despite the horrendous situation the war had put my family and I in. I was the eldest of three and was always forced to show a good example over my younger siblings and to my best ability, I made my parents proud.
A little part of me went with them when they passed, and consequently after my two younger siblings were married off, I met the man who would change my life. Councilman Hightower took me in after he found out about my parents. He had a son he had wanted to marry me off to but I proved to be too stubborn for the man. I also showed him my interests were not that of marital bliss but the world of legal council and at the age of eighteen, I was his protege and was sometimes stationed with noble families who were in need of my services.
Eighteen was also the year I proved myself wrong. I fell in love, I got married and I had a child all in a span of a year and for a moment, it was bliss. But bliss had no place in a waging war where your child, who showed early signs of magic, had a noose tied around his neck. He was ripped from my arms and with him, my humanity was stripped away.
I wandered lost for awhile, even with my beloved husband by my side, until whispers from the dark foretold a victory in my future, where my son would be avenged. I have spent the past five years hidden under the guise of nobility for one small window of opportunity to find my bliss again.----------------------------------------------------------------------------- the player --
