"Honesty is the best currency. When you're honest, people take you at your word. When you tell a man that you aim to kill 'em, he knows to get his affairs in order."
Known to many by reputation alone, Brandr is content with the infamy that has become attached to his name. One could even say he's quite proud of his reputation. When we're getting down to the basics, he's a sword-for-hire, a mercenary, whatever you'd like to call it. He's made quite a living at the expense of others and he makes no apologies for this. An exceptionally gifted swordsman, he tends to favor single contracts versus that of raids, but he's more than willing to involve himself for a greater share of the plunder, which is largely the reason he currently finds himself aboard The Bloody Crown. Much like Brandr, the ship is known throughout the land for it's exploits. When one sees it's red and black sails, they can surely bet on the fact that a raid is soon to follow. While they have a standing with the Mariner's Union, largely due to the large contributions that are made on he behalf, their privateer label is cosmetic at best.
"It is not enough simply to hope for the best. One most act on these intentions to bring change to the world around them. Without sacrifice there can be no victory."
She is known to many as The Iron Sparrow, a moniker not meant as a token of affection. While she is often polite and agreeable with those she comes into contact with, she's also known for being quick to act in situations and often does so forcefully and with little prejudice. She's been reprimanded on more than one occasion for operating outside of her jurisdiction. She tends to play it fast and loose with the regulations, leaning on her own sense of judgment and honor more so than the actual rules of the realms. When she sees a situation with the possibility of going south, she does not hesitate to act. She views such inaction as the crutch that holds up the vile society of the world they live in. Too many people sitting and watching as the world falls apart around them, unwilling to help their neighbors in conflicts that may arise.
