Make fun of the name and I'll riddle you with holes. That's what the last name's for; I picked it. Why? Because I don't have any parents. And before you go getting sympathetic or all "Boohoo she doesn't have any parents!" just save yourself the trouble and stuff it, yeah? Because I don't give a shit. Why should I care about people who didn't care about me? It's over. Done.
So where did I grow up? The streets of Goldcrest. Duh. Where else would I be? Wasn't like someone was going to take in an extra mouth to feed. 'Specially not a little brat like me. Wasn't like I was looking.
I had myself a niche anyways. I had quick hands, so why not use them yeah? No one suspects the little girl. Even a dirty one like me. The few who did were too slow to catch me too. Too fat and stupid. Those were the ones I targeted. The ones who look all out of shape. Hard to catch me when they're wheezing like a pig!
The guards aren't much better. All that clunky armor. Jump into the water and they can't follow. They'd sink like a rock! I'd love to see that.
I'm not part of the guild neither. That's important. They take in a lot of people. People like me, yeah? I could've joined. Didn't want to. They've got rules there. Why would thieves need rules? We're thieves! So fuck that. I'm fine on my own. Have been for a while now. Guild wasn't there when I started. Didn't help me earn a living. I don't owe them a thing.
Lots of kids try joining them for protection. Think the guild's gonna save them when the tin men come around. Gives them a bit of security. I've already got that. It's called skill. I don't need a bunch of losers to make myself feel safe. I'll do that myself.
