A Place To Rest.

Today was the day.
She had finished packing her things the night before and decided to head out early in the morning. She left a note for her parents telling them that she will one day return for a visit. She was wearing her usual leather outfit and of course it was hidden by a robe. Her scarf was also being worn to help against the sun and to hide her own face.  She got on her horse and rode all the way to Goldcrest. It took a while but she finally made it, when she arrived she paid the Horsekeeper and left Zac there. As she made her way through the city she would identify certain spots and landmarks. It was getting late and She needed a place to stay. She remembered a place known as "The Lazy Drake" when her mother and her would come to sell goods. There she was, standing in front of the inn cold and tired from the long journey she had. She wasn't expecting much but she was willing to pay anything to rest.

As she walks in she begins to look around the inn left and right. She was analyzing her surroundings, looking for odd details, absurd conversations and that special person that doesn't fit in.  She was interrupted by the bar in front of her, she seemed a little confused at first but immediately sat down  to make the incident look like it was natural.  She took off her hood but kept the lower half of her face hidden with her scarf, just in case anyone were to recognize her.
Katelyn glances over to the Barmaid  and raises a finger to get her attention when she was looking.  Kate thought the barmaid was beautiful.

It had been a rather quiet evening. Naturally, there was plenty of people within the borders of the inn - people who wanted food or a drink, as well as people needing somewhere to sleep after a long day. Right now, though, it was far too early for there to be any drunkards around, so the brunette had opted to sit behind the counter, keeping to herself as she listened to the chatter going around the room with seemingly little interest. Nothing really caught her eyes today, which she supposed, was disappointing, though expected.

She saw the girl enter, her green eyes following the young girl until she took a seat. Luxanna's attention then pulled elsewhere before she saw movement at the corner of her eye. She rose to her feet and moved across the floor with ease until she reached the young woman she swore she'd never seen before.

"What can I get you?" Luxanna asked with a bright smile, her green eyes solely focused upon the young woman.

As soon as Elise noticed the green eyed beauty get up and walk in her direction she sat in a relieve position. With every step the brunette took, Elise was thinking about what she could have to eat and drink.  When Katelyn was young she use to eat a bit of everything. From fruits to veggies to fresh meat and fish, she had tasted it all, with the exception of exotic meals. Sarah was a great cook and loved to try new things, it was her passion to discover new tastes.

 Before the young necromancer knew it, the barmaid was standing in front of her awaiting to take her order. Elise had to shake her head,  lower her mask and apologize to her ."I'm sorry, I was lost in my thoughts." She smiled and continued. "I'll take anything with meat as a meal..." She took a pause, at this moment she turned around as if she heard something important but shrugged it off and continue to give her order."...I'll also take anything strong to drink and one of your rooms please."   As the Barmaid nods, the witch asks for one last thing.

Elise leaned on the counter. " This might be a bit unnatural to ask but... Would you happen to know  anybody willing to hire a young mage? For any purpose really, I'm flexible."  She winked and sat back down with a smile on her face.

The woman's order was simple enough, Luxanna supposed. Meat, something strong to drink and a room. It wasn't unnatural for someone new to find their way to the Lazy Drake. In fact, there was a reason Luxanna's family was doing so well. They had people coming from all over the world and they tried giving the best stay they could possibly have. It surely helped that they kept the rooms and kitchen areas clean and away from rats and the like.

Then the young woman said something that had Luxanna furrowing her brow. A mage looking for work. The first thought that crossed the brunette's mind was that the girl was kidding. What kind of mage, likely a rogue one at that, would be stupid enough to out their status, just like that? It was no secret that rogue mages were hunted down and one had to be careful about whom they told.

For all the woman knew, Luxanna could have turned her in and earned a lot of pretty coins for it too.

"No," Luxanna replied quickly with a shake of her head. Whether or not the woman was kidding, Luxanna wanted no part in it. "And you should be careful about who you ask," she added hastily before retrieving to fetch the woman's order.

Most of the time, Katelyn would find here targets by herself, hearing rumors of sorts, but after the brunette's response her eyes widen and she was in a small shock. Doing what she does, hunting mages that is, would mean that she's a rogue mage herself. As she was processing all this she realized she might of not been ready for the city life. As smart as she can be, she can be oblivious to the obvious sometimes, and it is at these moments when she tells herself,  "Shit."

At this point in time, whether the barmaid was going to keep her secret or not she was too tired to care for much of it. In the back of her head, she was thinking...Looking at the exits, where she could escape from, where they could come from, how many would they send. However all this was being thought by her subconscious.  After such a long day she didn't have much energy to worry about things right now. 

Katelyn finally realized she made the barmaid uncomfortable, she tried to play it off as a joke. She smiled and giggled. " Of course you wouldn't! " She started laughing, but a genuine laugh, it even got a little out of hand. Some of the other patrons looked at the scene. After she had calmed herself the barmaid had left to get her the order. Katelyn awaiting her return, once she came back she smiled and asked another question, this time, she thought it through." Would you happened to know where I can improve my swordsmanship? I've been wanting to get better for a while." She took a sip from her strong drink, she let out a relieve sigh. "Ahh, this is very good", she said to the barmaid thanking her for the drink.
